Constance had her first baby yesterday, so the name was easy given it was Valentine’s day.
She isn’t doing too badly, but seems to have adopted the tough love approach. When her lamb was only a few hours old, she charged across the field for food. Her lamb was bleating for several minutes before she turned and bleated back… more of ‘I’m over here’ than ‘I’m coming to get you’.
Still Valentino appears to be a fighter and has started joining the rest of the flock. He has no choice really, as that’s where he can find his mum.
It’s the first lamb of the season, and about a fortnight earlier than usual. I wonder who will be next.
